Indulge in the festive spirit at this Mosaic Workshop creating charming Christmas decorations in Claire’s Mosaic Making Evening at the ‘The Sothern Maltings' in Ware. In this delightful session, you’ll mosaic festive robins, twinkling stars and enchanting Christmas trees. To add warmth to your creative journey, we’ve arranged for complimentary mulled wine, tea, coffee and mince pies. Join us for a merry evening, where you will not only take home beautiful handmade decorations but enjoy some Christmas spirit. Let the mosaic magic begin! Each person makes three mosaics (12cm approx.) which can be used as decorations or perhaps Christmas gifts. Christmas shapes and decorations include on the evening are: • Robins • Stars • Christmas Trees • No previous experience is necessary and a wonderful array of colourful tiles and glass are available for you to create with. I will definitely be getting some glitter tiles ordered! Grouting: In all of the workshops you will grout your work in your own time at home. This is because the mosaic adhesive needs 24 hours to dry. On the day a demonstration on how to grout your mosaic is given with tips and notes to take away with you, along with your grout pack and everything you need. It is honestly easy and a very useful skill to have. Health and Safety: We will need to wear safety glasses in the workshop, which are supplied. If you have your own please bring them or spectacles for close up work. Please wear closed in footwear due to shards of glass that do end up on the floor.
