Overview
This is a challenging workshop that gives participants the opportunity to express their creative side. Sculpture is not just about using clay it also involves sculpture using the mod-roc techniques, paper sculpture and mixed media. There is lots of scope for creativity.
The Objectives
- To warm up a team and breakdown inhibitions
- To provide a light-hearted opportunity for individuals to vent
- To energise team meetings
- To practice creativity
- To learn new skills as part of a team
The Brief
There are two main ways this activity can work. Either the group can work in teams on a number of sculptures, or they can create one big sculpture that comes together at the end. Sculpture themes are based around business:
- Company logo
- MD's bust
- Depicting the company theme
- or you choose a relevant company theme
Art tutors will demonstrate and explain the various techniques to create a sculpture. Next participants will decide which medium and style they want to use and begin their own project. Projects can take from 1 hour to 3 hours.
The Result
All the final pieces will be displayed in the Art Gallery at the end of the session. A winning sculpture can be selected by our art tutors if appropriate. The aray of sculptures is always amazing and the different ways groups depict the same message is always diverse.
